I began Incubate believing that I needed to find the right path before I could start walking. I left realizing that I could start walking and learn more about the path along the way. ... I have the confidence and building blocks to build the self-starting career I want.
The first half of Accelerate gave me proof of progress. ... I've built skills that most people don't develop until much later - communication, initiative, and the ability to create opportunities instead of waiting for them.
Praxis gave me the mentorship, direction, and real-world experience that helped me land a high-paying startup job at 18. Instead of lectures and busywork, I built businesses and learned how to deliver results. It was the single best investment I made in my early career. If you've got drive and just need help aiming it, Praxis is for you.
Through Praxis, I earned something much more valuable to me than a piece of paper: proof.
I gained something that many individuals spend their entire lives searching for: freedom. Through Praxis, I learned that I don’t need a degree to signal my skills and competency, and I certainly don’t need to spend four more years in a classroom to discover my passion.
I have had my whole perspective of the career world turned upside down....I feel more than ever empowered to go out and forge a path for myself. Most importantly, I have the agency to pitch myself directly to someone, rather than having my name drawn by chance out of a hat of candidates.
Praxis was without a doubt the most productive and wonderful year of my life.
I started the program as an 18-year-old high school graduate with no real skills. I left the program with two full time job offers, an awesome website, an article published on Vox, and so much more. Praxis gave me everything I needed and more to come out of the program ready to conquer the world!
It was a great learning environment all through the program. To have someone leading me through the program, peers to look to for inspiration, and a great mentor; it creates an environment for growth.
